Scott Ashley Rager, a 41-year-old white male and Marine veteran from Kennesaw, Georgia, died on June 17, 2017, from a gunshot wound in Monroe, Georgia. The incident occurred during a social gathering at a homeowner's residence in the Woodlake subdivision. Rager was visiting the homeowner along with another Marine veteran, Daniel Tabor Reed, a 38-year-old white male from Atlanta. The two men were reportedly socializing and consuming alcohol when a dispute escalated, leading to the fatal shooting.
