Michael Dykes, a 30-year-old African American man, was tragically shot to death on August 17, 2017, in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred near the Olmstead Homes area of Harrisburg. Michael Dykes was pronounced dead at AU Medical Center after suffering at least one gunshot wound. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
