Tavares Lester, a 38-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on May 6, 2018, in Macon, Georgia. The incident occurred at an Econo Lodge on Riverside Drive, where Lester was shot by Rashad Mays, who was later found guilty of malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault.
