On October 9, 2023, 39-year-old Aric Riggins of Macon, Georgia, tragically died from an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident occurred in his vehicle near the intersection of Mercer University Drive and Log Cabin Drive in West Macon. Surveillance footage revealed that Riggins' car slowly entered a gas station parking lot before coming to a stop.
