On May 7, 2018, Christopher Leonard Tyson, a 48-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed in Douglas, Georgia. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. at 118 Quincey Batten Loop, Lot 8. The Coffee County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting the shooting, and upon arrival, officers found Tyson with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
