An Atlanta-area woman, 43-year-old Joanna Elizabeth Steed, was killed on the evening of September 5, 2018, in a drive-by shooting in Decatur, Georgia. Steed, a paralegal and talented musician, was at a friend's home for a band practice with her group Lord High Admirals. She was playing the bass guitar in the basement of the Shannon Ridge Court home when the sound of gunfire erupted outside.
