In the fading light of a Wednesday afternoon in Stone Mountain, Georgia, the life of 24-year-old Shantelle Monroe came to a tragic and violent end. On December 12, 2018, her body was discovered by three high school students along a quiet walking trail near a playground, a place meant for recreation and peace.
