In the summer of 2024, the life of a bright and vibrant 11-year-old girl, Makenzie Briddy, was tragically cut short in what police have described as a murder-suicide. On the evening of August 11th, officers from the DeKalb County Police Department responded to a call at the Polo Club Apartments on Ashley Creek Circle in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Inside one of the apartments, they made a grim discovery: the bodies of Makenzie and her 31-year-old mother, Qiana Rainley. Both had sustained fatal guns ...
