Alfonzo Walker Sr., a 51-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 1, 2019, in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred just after midnight on New Year's Day, marking a somber start to the year for his family and community. Walker was found at the Hannah Heights apartments on Farr Road, where he had been shot. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital.
