Deonn Rashod Carter, a 31-year-old African American man from Columbus, GA, tragically lost his life on August 20, 2016. Carter, who was autistic, was shot at The Britt David Apartments in Columbus. He succumbed to complications from the gunshot 11 days later at Midtown Medical Center. Deonn Carter was well-loved in his community, known for his friendly demeanor and his work at Piggly Wiggly. He lived with his mother, Suzette Ragland, at the time of his death.
