On a cold December evening in Columbus, Georgia, the life of Marcus Jones, a 32-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On December 6, 2021, at approximately 9:45 p.m., police responded to a call of a person shot in the 600 block of 23rd Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muscogee County Coroner.
