James Neeley Dukes, a 59-year-old African American male from Augusta, Georgia, tragically passed away on April 5, 2019. His death was the result of a fatal shooting that occurred during an altercation at his home on the 3500 block of Jonathan Circle in Augusta. The incident took place on the night of April 4, 2019, and Dukes succumbed to his injuries at Augusta University Medical Center in the early hours of April 5, 2019, while being treated in the Shock Trauma Unit.
