Steven James Nichols, 32, was a man from Stockbridge whose life ended in violence on July 6, 2019, after what authorities later described as a deadly confrontation tied to a bitter relationship dispute. Public reporting and the Henry County District Attorney’s Office said Nichols, known as “Hawk,” had gone to meet his girlfriend at a Dollar General in Henry County when her former boyfriend, James Blake McAllister, was already waiting there with a sawed-off shotgun.
