In a tragic turn of events that unfolded near the Floyd and Chattooga County line in the Holland community, Joe Edward Brown, a 35-year-old male from Rome, Georgia, lost his life on August 27, 2019. The incident, a triple shooting, also claimed the lives of his 61-year-old mother, Linda Mae Everett, and 46-year-old Daryl Marsh.
