In what was determined to be a murder-suicide, Lacresha Jalyn Day, a single mother of two from Seffner, Florida, was found deceased on October 17, 2019, in a hotel room in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Ms. Day was discovered alongside the body of Devin Shorter.

According to reports, Ms. Day, a nurse, was apparently in a relationship with Shorter, a fact that was unknown to her family. The investigation into their deaths concluded that Shorter was the suspect in Day's death, having killed her ...
