In the quiet suburbs of Norcross, Georgia, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of Jackmerly Jouselis Hernandez-Rodriguez, a 31-year-old mother. On the evening of December 21, 2024, police were dispatched to a home on Creeldale Drive after a distressing 911 call reported a person had been shot. Upon arrival, emergency responders found Hernandez-Rodriguez deceased inside the residence from a gunshot wound. The grim scene was further shadowed by the fact that the couple's 10-year-old son had witnessed the horrific event.
The investigation quickly zeroed in on a primary suspect: Victor Jose Yaraure Morillo, the 35-year-old ex-husband of Hernandez-Rodriguez. Despite their divorce, the two had been living in the same house. Authorities believe the fatal shooting was the result of a domestic dispute.
