In a quiet Norcross apartment complex, the life of 26-year-old Kevnna Robinson was tragically cut short in what police have described as a domestic-related shooting. On the morning of Saturday, February 8, 2025, Gwinnett County police were called to the 1800 block of Ardsley Place, where they discovered a grim scene. Inside one of the apartments, Robinson was found deceased, while a male victim was also located with a gunshot wound. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation into the double shooting quickly led authorities to a suspect. Tyreun Whitaker, a 21-year-old from Acworth, was identified as the alleged perpetrator. Through their investigation, detectives were able to track Whitaker to a hotel in Acworth. With the assistance of the Acworth Police Department and Cobb County SWAT, Whitaker was taken into custody without incident.
Following his arrest, Tyreun Whitaker was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail. He faces a string of serious charges in connection with the death of Kevnna Robinson. These charges include malice murder, felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Authorities have not publicly disclosed the specific relationship between Whitaker and the victims, but have reiterated their belief that the violent encounter was an isolated domestic incident.
