In the early morning hours of December 22, 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn quiet at the intersection of West 37th and Whitaker streets in Savannah, Georgia. When police arrived at the scene around 2:15 a.m., they discovered a chaotic and tragic scene. Three people had been shot. Among them was 25-year-old Tori Jerrod Sterling, a male who was found with life-threatening injuries.
