On April 6, 2020, in unincorporated Norcross, Georgia, a 27-year-old male, Shane Meyerhoffer, whose ethnicity was not publicly reported, was found shot near the intersection of Goodwood Boulevard and Pirkle Road after multiple 911 calls about gunfire shortly before 5 p.m. Responding Gwinnett County officers located him by the roadway; he had suffered at least one gunshot wound and died at the scene.
