In the early morning hours of June 6, 2020, a dispute in a southwest Atlanta parking lot turned fatal, claiming the life of 40-year-old Tyson Barnett. The male victim was discovered in the parking lot of an apartment complex situated in the 3900 block of Campbellton Road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Responding to calls of a shooting, Atlanta police officers arrived at the scene to find Barnett gravely injured.
He was quickly transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, but his wounds proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead. Investigators believe that the shooting was the culmination of an argument between Barnett and another man.
