Christopher Brooks, a 53-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on July 5, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred at a Chevron gas station on Pryor Road, where Brooks was assisting another man with vehicle trouble. According to police reports, Brooks was helping the man jump-start his car when an exchange of gunfire erupted between at least two individuals, resulting in Brooks being fatally shot.
