On a late summer afternoon in 2020, the life of a young Black man, 20-year-old Zechariah "Zack" Jones of Riverdale, Georgia, was tragically cut short. On Saturday, September 5th, in the small community of Ellabell in Bryan County, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace. When law enforcement arrived at the residence on Murchison Road, they discovered a grim scene. Jones had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
