Dontavious Young, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on September 8, 2020, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The incident occurred on Cherry Wood Drive, where police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Young lying face down in the road with multiple gunshot wounds and an empty holster next to him. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy revealed that Young had been shot 13 times.
