On December 30, 2018, Ajan Manley Walker, a 19-year-old African American male, was found shot dead in the middle of a street near downtown Stone Mountain, Georgia. Officers from the Stone Mountain Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in a residential area on Mackin Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Walker with at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics from DeKalb County fire pronounced him dead at the scene.
