Richard Pitts, a 50-year-old African American male from Americus, Georgia, tragically lost his life on November 26, 2020. His death was the result of an apparent assault, which occurred in the 296 block of Middle River Road. The Sumter County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and found Pitts deceased.
