On a summer day in Baltimore, Maryland, tragedy struck when 40-year-old Lance Johnson was murdered on July 5, 2012. The incident took place at 2343 North Eutaw Place, leaving a community in search of answers. Mr. Johnson, a transgender male, was a resident of Baltimore.
In the weeks following the homicide, the Baltimore Police Department actively sought the public's assistance in identifying a suspect. On August 2, 2012, authorities released a composite sketch of the man they believed to be responsible for Mr. Johnson's death. The suspect was described as a Black male with a medium complexion, estimated to be between 18 and 22 years old. He was further described as having a thin build, standing approximately 5'8' tall, and weighing around 140 pounds.
