The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of Kennedy Avenue, where he was discovered and pronounced dead at the scene.
Born on May 16, 1997, Tywan, who was known affectionately as 'TY' to his loved ones, was remembered for his infectious smile and loving nature.
He was a father who enjoyed spending time with his daughter, riding dirt bikes, and traveling. His death added to the city's growing list of homicides, leaving behind a grieving family, including his parents, daughter, sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends.
In the wake of the shooting, the Baltimore Police Department opened an investigation into his death. However, despite their efforts, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Tywan Murray.
