Chasity Walker, a 20-year-old African American woman from Columbus, GA, tragically lost her life on December 26, 2020. She was shot once in the 800 block of 33rd Avenue, and the call to 911 came in at 1:46 p.m. Walker was pronounced dead at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown campus at 2:32 p.m. Her death marked the 46th homicide in Columbus for the year 2020. The body was sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
