Death by Force

Corey Jones, a 16-year-old African American male from Columbus, Georgia, tragically lost his life on February 22, 2021. Corey was shot multiple times at Carver Park on the afternoon of February 22. He was found by police at the scene and was immediately transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional ICU, where he succumbed to his injuries on February 25, 2021. The Muscogee County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead at 1:22 p.m. that day.
