On a warm summer evening in Kettering, Maryland, the life of a promising seventeen-year-old female, Amber Stanley, was tragically cut short. On August 22, 2012, an intruder forcibly entered her family's home on Chartsey Street. The assailant proceeded directly to Amber's bedroom and shot the honor student multiple times as she lay in her bed.
