Jerod Montez Lester, a 29-year-old Black man from Macon, Georgia, was killed on May 10, 2021, in a shooting inside a mobile home at the Avalon Mobile Home Park on Jeffersonville Road. That afternoon, Bibb County deputies were sent to the park after a report of a person down, and when they reached Lot 106, they found Lester and another 29-year-old Macon man, Quinterious Hillman, unresponsive inside the home.
