In the early morning hours of July 24, 2021, a large fight on a sidewalk at the corner of Cherry Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Macon, Georgia, escalated into deadly violence. Amid the chaos, gunshots rang out, leaving 20-year-old Donovan Munir Cason and 21-year-old Kabryan Johnson with fatal injuries. When law enforcement and emergency personnel arrived at the scene around 12:41 a.m., they found Cason unresponsive; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Johnson was transported to ...
