On July 24, 2021, Donovan Munir Cason, a 20-year-old African American male from Macon, Georgia, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. The incident occurred during a large fight on the sidewalk at the corner of Cherry Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in downtown Macon.
