In the early morning hours of Friday, September 3, 2021, the life of 30-year-old Aughstardy Hudson was tragically cut short outside a Travelodge hotel on Old National Park Drive in College Park, Georgia. A mother of four, Hudson was found deceased at the scene by College Park police officers who responded to a call around 5:30 a.m. An investigation into her death determined that she had been shot multiple times.
According to authorities, just moments before the fatal shooting, Hudson had
exited a red Jeep. As she was walking away from the vehicle with her back turned, the male driver rolled down the window and fired several shots at her. The suspect then fled the scene in the same red Jeep. Hudson sustained gunshot wounds to her neck and foot.
In the wake of the shooting, family members mourned the loss of the young mother. Her aunt, Wanda Wallace, took to social media to express her grief and her determination to find justice for her niece and to care for her four children.
As of the latest available reports, College Park police were still searching for the gunman and had not publicly identified any suspects in the case. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the College Park Police Department. The investigation into the death of Aughstardy Hudson remains ongoing.
