On the last day of 2021, 31-year-old Jeffery Lamont Moore was found deceased in Atlanta, Georgia. His body was discovered inside the trunk of his own gray Dodge Charger, which had been left in the vicinity of 1770 Bolton Road in the northwestern part of the city. An officer on patrol happened upon the vehicle and made the grim discovery. Mr. Moore had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was born on May 9, 1990, Jeffery had relocated to
Atlanta. He was a father to a son and a daughter. Following his death, his family held services and he was laid to rest in Covington Memorial Gardens.
The investigation into his death is ongoing, and as of early 2023, authorities were still seeking answers and asking for the public's assistance. The Atlanta Police Department announced a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to an arrest in the case. While a police report noted that Moore was a member of the Bloods gang, officials have not publicly confirmed whether they believe his killing was related to gang activity. No suspects have been publicly identified or arrested in connection with the homicide.
