Xavier “Nate” Simmons, a 20-year-old, was fatally shot on April 19, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred at Westside Park, specifically in the parking lot near the Birth of Atlanta sculpture in the 1600 block of Johnson Road.
Simmons was found dead by officers around 9:40 p.m. after they responded to a report of a person shot at the park. The investigation led to the identification of Kameron Deal, 22, as the suspect in the homicide.
