Patrick King, a 32-year-old man, went missing on November 21, 1995, from Oakland City, Indiana. He was last seen leaving his job at a furniture factory around 3:30 p.m. that day. Later, he was observed getting into a gray car with two unidentified individuals. King was supposed to meet his girlfriend that evening, but he never showed up, which was highly uncharacteristic.
The next day, his 1991 Ford Ranger was found abandoned on a remote dirt road in the Snakey Point area, near the Patoka River. Inside the vehicle, authorities discovered human blood, hair, and fingerprints, but no sign of King himself. His family stated that King would not have driven his truck to such a location, especially after recently having it painted and avoiding rough roads.
Eight days after his disappearance, his girlfriend's car was attacked by two men in a black and gray Oldsmobile. They fired shots and rammed her vehicle, though she was unharmed. It remains unclear if this incident is connected to King's disappearance. Despite extensive investigation, including allegations that King may have been murdered, no arrests have been made, and foul play is suspected. King has since been declared dead, but his case remains unsolved.
