On a late Friday morning in Macon, Georgia, the life of 21-year-old Deuntay Lashavi Hicks was tragically cut short. On January 28, 2022, at approximately 11:34 a.m., a call came into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center reporting a person down at the Woods on Napier Apartments, also known as the North Napier Apartments, located at 4017 Napier Avenue.
Upon their arrival, Bibb County Sheriff's deputies discovered Hicks unresponsive in the doorway of an apartment. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:30 p.m. by the Bibb County Coroner.
