Brianna Robinson, a 22-year-old Black woman who attended Topsail High School, was killed in a shooting that left a young man critically injured in Columbus, Georgia. Friends and family knew her as “Bri Bri.”
Late on the night of Saturday, February 12, 2022, Columbus police responded to a call about a shooting on the 4200 block of Prado Drive. At the scene, officers found Brianna Robinson and 19-year-old Ryan Krobetzky. Brianna was pronounced dead just after midnight, at 12:15 a.m.
on February 13. Her body was sent for an autopsy. Mr. Krobetzky was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The investigation led police to identify a suspect in the double shooting. On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, deputies with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office located 21-year-old Kenneth Miles at a residence on Georgetown Drive. After a brief foot chase, they arrested him without incident. At the time of his arrest, authorities said Miles was a validated gang member and was in possession of a Glock 19 9mm pistol.
Kenneth Miles was charged with the murder of Brianna Robinson and with aggravated assault in the shooting of Ryan Krobetzky. He was scheduled for an appearance in Recorder’s Court on April 6, 2022. In court, Miles pleaded not guilty to the charges. As of April 2022, the legal proceedings against him were pending trial.
