In Columbus, Georgia, a Saturday afternoon was shattered by gunfire that ended the life of 32-year-old Shantavia Rubyann Walden. On March 16, 2024, Walden was found inside a vehicle on Schaul Street near Ada Avenue. She had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:10 P.M. Another individual, Gerald Ford, was also shot and transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional in critical condition.
