Dennishia Smith, a 21-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 10, 2022, in East Point, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. According to reports, Dennishia was shot and killed by Shelton Handspike, a man she was trying to help. Dennishia had fallen on hard times financially and had allowed Handspike to stay with her.
