Tyreek Demontez Young, a 17-year-old African American male from Macon, Georgia, was tragically shot on the evening of July 15, 2022, on Carlisle Avenue. The incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m., and Young was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries two days later, on July 17. An 18-year-old male, who was with Young at the time, was also shot in the leg but survived and was listed in stable condition.
