On July 15, 2022, the body of 24-year-old Mariah Loren Stanfield, a young African American woman, was discovered on Knoxville Road in Bibb County, Macon, GA. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds, lying on the side of the road. Deputies responding to the scene also found shell casings nearby, indicating that she had been shot at that location.
