Lateisha Shunterria Stewart, a 32-year-old Black woman from Macon, Georgia, was found late on the night of September 25, 2021, slumped in the driver’s seat of a Hyundai Sonata in the driveway of a home on the 1500 block of Berkshire Drive. Deputies had been called to the scene just before midnight for reports of an unresponsive person in a vehicle, and when they arrived, they discovered that Stewart had been shot in the upper body.
