Arnell Lackey, a 25-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, was tragically killed on March 15, 2020. Lackey was found lifeless on a front lawn in the 3500 block of Polk Street, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The Lake County Coroner's office pronounced him dead at 4:15 p.m. on the day of the incident. This marked the eighth shooting death in Gary for that year, highlighting a troubling trend of gun violence in the city.
