On January 28, 2023, Alexander Hudson, a 26-year-old man from Gary, Indiana, was fatally shot outside the One Stop convenience store located in the 700 block of West 45th Avenue in Gary.
The incident involved an armed robbery, and Hudson was the victim of this violent crime. The suspect identified in the shooting is Larry Saunders, an 18-year-old resident of Gary. Saunders was charged with murder, armed robbery, and unlawful carrying of a handgun in connection with Hudson's death.
