On a late summer evening in Atlanta, Georgia, the life of 38-year-old Prince Oluzor was tragically cut short. The Black male was at a BP gas station on 14th Street NW near Georgia Tech on August 31, 2022, when he was fatally shot. Oluzor had gone into the convenience store, and upon being alerted by other customers that his vehicle was potentially being broken into, he went outside to investigate.
As he confronted the individuals near his car, one of the suspects opened fire, striking
Oluzor. Emergency services were called to the scene, and he was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspects, described as two or three individuals, fled the scene in what police later identified as a silver or gray four-door sedan.
The Atlanta Police Department launched a homicide investigation into the death of Prince Oluzor. In a press conference held in July 2023, authorities appealed to the public for assistance in the ongoing investigation. They released surveillance images of the suspect vehicle, identified as a silver 2013 Honda Accord with a noticeable dent on the driver's side. At that time, police stated that the case was still very active and they were pursuing all possible leads, emphasizing that it was not considered a cold case.
Despite the efforts of law enforcement, no arrests have been publicly announced in connection with the murder of Prince Oluzor. The suspects remain at large, and the investigation continues. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the shooting or the suspect vehicle to come forward to assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
