Michelle O'Connell, a 24-year-old white woman, was found dead on September 2, 2010, in the home of her boyfriend, Jeremy Banks, in St. Augustine, Florida. The initial investigation concluded that Michelle had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and her death was ruled a suicide.
