Deputy Abigail Rose Bieber, a 30-year-old officer with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, tragically lost her life on January 29, 2022, in St. Augustine, Florida. Deputy Bieber was found dead in a vacation rental home in the Butler Beach area, alongside her boyfriend, Detective Daniel Leyden, who was also pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was determined to be a murder-suicide, with Leyden identified as the shooter. He fatally shot Deputy Bieber before taking his own life.
