In the early evening of November 9, 2022, a dispute in the parking lot of a Studio 6 Extended Stay motel in Duluth, Georgia, turned fatal, claiming the life of 18-year-old Donoven Jones of Powder Springs. The male teenager was discovered by Gwinnett County police officers around 6 p.m. in the parking lot, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
