Corey Brooks, a 31-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 2, 2022, in Jonesboro, Georgia. Corey Brooks was the nephew of Riverdale Mayor Evelyn Wynn-Dixon. The incident occurred at the Pointe South Shopping Center on Highway 85, where Brooks and a friend had pulled up in an SUV.
